The Importance of Garden Supplies and Composting
Now that winter has pretty well passed for the year, I can turn my sights toward my lawn and garden. I try to use all of my gardening supplies from one season to the next so that they do not lose their potency. It also keeps my storage shed cleaner because I don’t have to worry about any spillage. It also allows me to try new products without the concern that one product is better than the other because I know when I used which garden supplies.
It may be difficult to garden in the winter, but composting is a year-round occupation. As long as my husband and I consume fresh fruits and vegetables, coffee, tea, and eggs we are set for ingredients for our compost pile. I have noticed that since I avidly compost, I have much less garbage to carry to the curb every week. It is very important to keep animal products such as fat and bones out of the compost. Not only will it contaminate the compost pile, it will draw all sorts of undesirable critters to the yard
