I can’t believe it, but Valentine’s Day is less than a month away. I want to make a romantic dinner for my boyfriend. Something special that he’ll remember, and I can actually prepare without gourmet cooking skills. We’ve been dating for a year, and he’s not a picky eater, so that helps, but instead of going out and dealing with all the crowds, I thought a romantic dinner at home just the two of us would be nice. We’re homebodies at heart. I started looking through cookbooks for ideas I found a great one; fondue.

It’s seems so 60’s, but you know it’s made a resurgence. There is even a restaurant near my house that serves nothing but fondue. I’m planning a simple dinner of grilled salmon, wild rice pilaf, a green salad, good French bread, wine and chocolate fondue for desert. I’ll use strawberries, pound cake, marshmallows for dipping in the warm chocolate sauce. I love the idea, and think he will too. It’s super easy, and it’s romantic. I bought a fondue set online. It’s part of the Rachael Ray Collection. It has two handles for easy transportation, it’s porcelain covered cast iron, so the heat distribution is even, it will retain its heat, and clean up easily. It has a 1.5 quart capacity comes with 6 forks, stands on its own base and has a fuel holder. Best of all, I can use it over and over again. I may even plan a party and serve cheese fondue for an appetizer. I think that’s original! It’s given me new inspiration, and I can’t wait to use it.

Stability balls are now as popular as cell phones. No not really, but yet these popular exercise balls are what you might call low-tech. It’s a functional workout tool that provides you with the means of improving your core muscles and much, much, more. Let’s face it, if you look and feel good your productivity will increase. Before I actually had a fence installed on my property I thought the only real decision that had to be made was the material and size of the fence. Boy was I wrong! Once the contractor was finished with building the fence he came and asked me if I would like for him to do anything else. I know I looked at him like he was a crazy man when I asked him, like what? It may have a strange name, but the Pom Pom style of bonsai growing is quite popular. The Brush Cherry Pom Pom Style indoor bonsai tree has small groups of leaves at the end of each major branch. By shaping and trimming the bonsai, it’s possible to make these groups look like small spheres or pom poms. The Brush Cherry is a small bonsai that features evergreen leaves. It’s easy to get a countertop water filter. Just walk into any department store and pick up one. But are they effective? After some research we figured out they were certainly better than bottled water, consider the effects of empty plastic water bottles and the cost. Most bottled water costs anywhere from a dollar to four dollars a gallon. About the same as gasoline for your car. Amazing! The Chinese Juniper, or the juniperus procumbens, is a very popular bonsai tree. It can be done in several different styles, and one of the most popular is the cascading look. This Juniper bonsai is also known as the green mound because of the way it looks. The Juniper is one of the most common bonsai, especially since it is fairly easy to train. This shrub is generally found in areas of high elevation, and it has a very nice shape and outline. It’s also easy to grow and is quite forgiving if you forget to give it the treatment it needs. As an outdoor bonsai, however, the Chinese Juniper won’t really thrive inside the home, and it should be left outdoors.
